Chapter 1. On fingering

§. 59. As dur hat nach Fig. XXXVI. [Ex. I:36] so wohl hinauf als herunter mit dem Absteigenden F moll einerley Setzung der Finger.	§59. According to Ex. I:36, the A-flat major ascending and descending scale, as well as F minor descending, have one and the same fingering.

Dieses letzteren Applicatur beym Aufsteigen ist unter Fig. XXXVII. [Ex. I:37] besonders abgebildet. Die linke Hand hat hier abermals zweyerley gute Finger-Ordnungen, von denen die nächst den Noten die brauchbarste ist, ob schon die unterste das im 35. und 46. §. angeführte aufs neue beweiset.	The fingering of the latter [F minor] ascending is shown separately in Ex. I:37. Here the left hand again has two good fingerings, the more useful ones being nearest to the notes, although the lowest one proves once more the points of §35 and §46.
