Chapter 1. On fingering

§. 50. A dur im Aufsteigen finden wir unter Fig. XXIV. [Ex. I:24] mit einer Applicatur für die rechte und zweyen für die linke Hand. Die nächste unter den Noten ist nach der oft angeführten Regel, und bey allerley Fällen brauchbarer als die, so darunter stehet, ohngeacht sie auch zuweilen nöthig seyn kann.	§50. In Ex. I:24 we find the A-major scale with one fingering for the right hand and two fingerings for the left. In various cases, the one right below the notes is more useful according to the frequently mentioned rule [§33] than the one further below that, which may nonetheless be necessary on occasion.
