Eine Fantasie nennet man frey, wenn sie keine abgemessene Tacteintheilung enthält, und in mehrere Tonarten ausweichet, als bey andern Stücken zu geschehen pfleget, welche nach einer Tacteintheilung gesetzet sind, oder aus dem Stegreif erfunden werden. | §1. A fantasy is considered free if it contains no bar lines and modulates to more keys than other pieces tend to do, whether they are composed in meter or extemporized. |
