§. 40. Die Ziffern, welche gerade über einer Note stehen, werden mit ihr zugleich angeschlagen; wenn sie sich aber zur rechten Hand der Note seitwärts befinden, so schlägt man sie nach, ob sie gleich zur Note gehören und von ihr abgezählt werden:	§40. The figures that appear directly over [or under] a note are struck simultaneously with it. If, however, they appear to the right of the note, then one plays them consecutively, as if they belonged to the note and their value were proportional to it:
