§. 23. Ich habe zu Vermeidung aller Zweydeutigkeit^ⓘ die Triolen ohne 3, das Abstossen der Noten ohne Striche mit bloßen Punkten, und die abgekürzten Wörter: f. p. u. s. w. an den meisten Oertern ohne hintenstehende Punkte angedeutet.

§23. To avoid any ambiguity,^ⓘ I have indicated triplets without the numeral 3, staccatos with plain dots instead of vertical strokes, and the abbreviations f, p, etc., in most cases without periods.
