This will always be more useful than taking it from long-winded books and treatises that extensively discuss nature, taste, singing, and melody, even though their authors are often incapable of composing two natural, tasteful, cantabile, and melodic notes, and yet ascribe these gifts and merits arbitrarily (and mostly incompetently) to this one or another.
