Ohngeachtet man gemeiniglich einen langen Mordenten nur allein über lange Noten, und einen kurzen über kurze Noten abzubilden pflegt; so findet sich dennoch jener oft über Viertheilen und Achttheilen, nachdem die Zeit-Maaße ist, und dieser über Noten von allerley Geltung und Länge. | §2. Although we usually find the symbols of the long mordent on long notes and the short mordent assigned to short notes, the former is often notated above quarter and 8th notes, depending on the tempo, and the latter is notated above notes of any value and length. |
