§. 33. Wenn ein Doppelschlag über gestoßenen Noten angebracht werden soll, so erhält er eine besondere Schärfe durch eben dieselbe im Anfange hinzugefügte Note, worüber er stehet.	§33. A turn on a staccato note gets a special sharpness by starting on the main note.
Diese noch nicht anderswo bemerkte Manier habe ich durch ein kleines Zweyunddreyßigtheil vor der mit dem Doppelschlage versehenen Note angedeutet.	I have indicated this ornament, not yet discussed elsewhere, by a small thirty-second note before the main note.
Diese dreyfache Schwänzung bleibt bey allerley Geltung der folgenden Note und bey allerley Zeit-Maaße unverändert, weil dieses Nötgen allezeit durch den geschwindesten Anschlag mit einem steifen Finger heraus gebracht und sogleich mit der geschnellten Anfangs-Note des Doppelschlags verbunden wird.	It has three flags, irrespective of the value of the main note and the tempo of the piece, for it is executed most rapidly with a stiff finger and immediately connected with the snapped initial note of the turn.
Auf diese Art entstehet eine neue Art vom prallenden Doppelschlage, welchen man zum Unterscheide wegen des nöthigen Schnellens gar wohl den geschnellten Doppelschlag nennen kann.	In this way, a new kind of trilled turn is produced that we can call the snapped turn because of the required snapping.
Bey hurtigen Noten ist diese Manier bequemer als ein Triller, weil ich überhaupt glaube, daß der letztere am besten thut, wenn die Geltung der Note erlaubet, solchen wenigstens eine ziemliche Weile zu schlagen, indem man widrigenfalls eine andere Manier an diese Stelle setzen kann.	This ornament is more convenient than a trill on quick notes because I hold that the latter one sounds best if the duration of the note allows sufficient time for repetitions. If not, one should use another ornament instead.
Der Doppelschlag erhält durch dieses Nötgen eben den Glanz, welchen er durch den vereinbarten Prall-Triller erhält, nur bey ganz widrigen Fällen.	Thanks to the initial snapped note, the snapped turn acquires the same brilliance that the trilled turn receives from the added half trill, only in very unfavorable circumstances [for the trilled turn].
