§. 36. Bey Gelegenheit des Vortrags dieses Trillers merken wir noch an, daß sich auf dem Forte piano, wenn diese Manier leise gemacht werden soll, eine beynahe unübersteigliche Schwierigkeit findet.	§36. Concerning the execution of the half trill, we notice an almost insurmountable difficulty if one wants to perform it softly on the fortepiano.
Man weiß, daß alles Schnellen durch einen gewissen Grad der Gewalt geschehen muß; diese Gewalt macht allezeit den Anschlag auf diesem Instrumente stark; unser Triller kann ganz und gar nicht ohne Schnellen hervorgebracht werden; also leidet ein Clavier-Spieler allezeit hierinnen, um so viel mehr, da dieser Triller gar sehr oft theils allein, theils in Gesellschaft des Doppel-Schlags nach einem Vorschlag, und folglich nach den Regeln des Vortrags aller Vorschläge, piano vorkömmt.	As is known, snapping always requires some degree of force, and this force produces a strong attack on the fortepiano. As the half trill cannot be executed without snapping, the keyboard player always suffers, especially because this trill, as happens quite often, occurs alone or in combination with the turn after an appoggiatura, and thus, following the rules of performing appoggiaturas, occurs piano.
Diese Unbequemlichkeit ereignet sich bey allem Schnellen, besonders aber hier bey der schärffsten Art von Schnellen. Ich zweifle, ob man auch durch die größte Uebung, die Stärke des Anschlags bey diesem Triller auf benanntem Instrumente allezeit in seiner Gewalt wird haben können.	This inconvenience occurs in all snaps, and especially here, in the sharpest kind of snapping. I doubt that one can always control the force of attack in this trill on the aforementioned instrument, even after the most extensive practice.
