§. 25. Da man bey unserm heutigen Geschmacke, wozu die Italiänische gute Sing-Art ein ansehnliches mit beygetragen hat, nicht mit den Französischen Manieren allein auskommen kann; so habe ich die Manieren von mehr als einer Nation zusammen tragen müssen.	§25. I had to collate ornaments from more than one nation because the present taste of music, to which proper Italian vocal style has greatly contributed, cannot suffice with French ornaments alone.
Ich habe ihnen einige neue beygefügt: Ich glaube auch, daß bey dem Claviere so wohl als andern Instrumenten die Spiel-Art die beste sey, welche auf eine geschickte Art das Propre und Brillante des Französischen Geschmacks mit dem Schmeichelhaften der Welschen Sing-Art zu vereinigen weiß.	I have added a few new ones: for I believe, that that manner of performance is best, on the clavier as well as other instruments, that can skillfully combine the refined and brilliant manner of the French taste with the charms of the Italian vocal style.
Die Deutschen sind hierzu besonders aufgelegt, so lange als sie von Vorurtheilen befreyet bleiben.	Germans are particularly well equipped to achieve this combination as long as they stay clear of prejudices.
