§. 23. Alle durch kleine Nötgen angedeutete Manieren gehören zur folgenden Note; folglich darf niemals der vorhergehenden etwas von ihrer Geltung abgebrochen werden, indem bloß die folgende so viel verliert, als die kleinen Nötgen betragen.	§23. All ornaments indicated by small notes pertain to the following main note. Hence, the duration of the preceding note must never be reduced, as only the following one loses the total duration of all the small notes.
Diese Anmerkung ist um so viel nöthiger, je mehr gemeiniglich hierwider gefehlet wird, und je weniger ich habe verhindern können, daß zuweilen bey den gehäuften Zeichen der Finger-Setzung, der Manieren und des Vortrags, der Raum bey den Probe-Stücken erfordert hat, daß einige kleine Nötgen von ihrer Hauptnote, wozu sie gehören, haben müssen abgerissen werden.	This rule becomes the more necessary the more often it gets violated, and because in the Probe-Stücke I could not avoid separating some of the small notes from the main note to which they belong because of the large number of fingerings, ornaments, and performance indications in the limited space of the score.
