§. 24. Das durchaus vier und mehrstimmige Accompagnement gehört für starke Musiken, für gearbeitete Sachen, Contrapuncte, Fugen u. s. w. und überhaupt für Stücke wo nur Musik ist, ohne daß der Geschmack besonders daran Antheil hat.

§24. The accompaniment that is four- and many-voiced throughout is suited to vigorous music, for worked-out things like counterpoints, fugues, etc., and generally for pieces where there is only music, without taste playing a central role.
