Die reine Quarte dissonirt zwar bey unserer Aufgabe am wenigsten, demohngeachtet aber muß sie dennoch aufgelöset werden, wenn sie nicht im Durchgange vorkommt.ⓘ Bey dem letztern kann sie allenfalls verdoppelt werden, wenn es nöthig ist, und die vorhergehenden Ziffern es erlauben. Folgende Exempel sind wegen der durchgehenden Quarte anzumerken: | §7. The perfect fourth in this context is the least dissonant, but nevertheless must be resolved, unless it occurs as a passing tone.ⓘ In this latter case it can be doubled if necessary, and if the previous figures allow it. The following examples are noteworthy because they contain passing fourths: |
