| §. 5. Weil die übermäßige Quinte in unserm Dreyklange mehrentheils als eine Zierlichkeit vorkommt, so verträgt sie das dreystimmige Accompagnement eher als das vierstimmige. Dieses letztere kommt eigentlich vor, wenn diese Dissonanz mehr Ziffern bey sich hat. | §5. Since the augmented fifth in this triad usually occurs as an ornament, it tolerates accompaniment in three voices better than in four. The latter only occurs for certain when this dissonance has more figures with it. |
