§. 4. Der Begleiter muß sich überhaupt wegen des Anhaltens und Fortgehens bey den Fermaten nach der Vorschrift genau richten, welche wir deswegen im ersten Theile dieses Versuchs angemerket finden.	§4. Generally speaking, the accompanist must closely follow the tempo changes on fermatas according to the instruction given in Part I of this Essay.
Es beruhet alles darauf, daß bey der Hauptstimme sowohl die simpeln Noten, als auch die Auszierungen vor der Fermate mit den Grundnoten samt ihren Accorden gehörig harmoniren und zugleich eintreffen.	Everything depends upon the principal voice properly harmonizing and coordinating both its simple notes as well as embellishments before the fermata with the bass notes and its chords.
