| §. 21. Die übermäßige Sexte ist eine Dissonanz, welche mit (a) und ohne Vorbereitung (b) vorkommt, allezeit aber in die Höhe gehet. Das nöthige Versetzungszeichen wird mit der Ziffer angedeutet. Wenn mit dieser Sexte weiter keine Signatur über der Grundnote stehet: so hat sie im dreystimmigen Accompagnemente die Terz bey sich, welche, wenn der Satz vierstimmig seyn soll, verdoppelt wird. | §21. The augmented sixth is a dissonance, which occurs both with (a) and without (b) preparation, but always ascends by step. The necessary accidental is included with the figure. If no other figure occurs over the bass note with this 6, then in three-voice accompaniment it requires the third; if the passage should be four-voice, then the third is doubled. |
