26. Capitel. Von rückenden Noten

§. 4. Die Begleitung der Rückungen durch halbe Töne muß besonders fein seyn, damit diese halben Töne ihre Deutlichkeit behalten, und der Uebellaut nicht befördert werde.	§4. The accompaniment of chromatic syncopations must be particularly delicate, so that the half-steps retain their clarity, rather than causing ugly clashes.

Bey (a) wird zu der Grundnote f der Dreyklang ohne Octave genommen.	At (a) the triad over the bass note F is played without the octave.

Bey (b) bestehet die Begleitung in einer zierlichen Nachahmung der halben Töne (bb). Wenn die Harmonie stärker seyn soll, so kann man die Intervalle der Hauptstimme, nach Anweisung der Bezifferung bey (bb), mitspielen. Alle diese Exempel setzen ein langsames oder wenigstens gemäßigtes Tempo voraus:	At (b) the harmony consists of an artful imitation of the half-steps, as shown at (bb). If the harmony should be fuller, then one can play the intervals of the principal voice in accordance with the figures at (bb). All these examples assume a slow, or at least moderate, tempo:
