§. 3. Diese Manier wird so wohl in langsamen als auch geschwinden Stücken, bey Schleifung so wohl als auch bey gestoßenen Noten angebracht.	§3. This ornament is suitable for both slow and fast pieces, on legato as well as staccato notes.
Eine ganz kurze Note verträgt sie nicht wohl, weil hierdurch wegen der vielen Noten, welche sie enthält und welche doch eine gewisse Zeit erfordern, der Gesang leicht undeutlich werden kann.	It is not appropriate on a very short note because the many notes it includes require a certain amount of time and can easily render the melody unclear.
