Chapter 1. On fingering

§. 40. F dur im Absteigen zeigt sich bey Fig. XIV. [Ex. I:14] im Dißkante mit zweyen, und im Basse mit dreyen Applicaturen. Die nächst über und unter den Noten sind die gewöhnlichsten; in den andern ist nichts unregelmäßiges, sie können bey gewissen Fällen nöthig seyn, folglich kann man sie darbey mit merken.	§40. F major descending, as shown in Ex. I:14, has two fingerings in the right hand and three fingerings in the left. The ones directly above and below the notes are most common. There is nothing irregular about the others; they might be necessary in certain cases, and thus should be noted in those contexts as well.
