§. 37. E mol im Aufsteigen hat nur diese einzige gute Applicatur, Fig. XI. [Ex. I:11] Wer anstatt den Daumen in die Quinte h, solchen in die Quarte a setzen wollte, müßte solches bey Exempeln thun, wo die Folge dieses erfordert, sonsten ist diese Finger-Setzung nicht anzurathen.	§37. E minor ascending has only one single good fingering, Ex. I:11. Those who want to place the thumb on the fourth note, A, instead of on the fifth note, B, should do so in cases where the continuation requires it; other than that, this way of fingering is not recommended.
Man hüte sich bey diesem durch eine ganze Octave aufsteigenden E moll, daß man den Daumen nicht ins g, nach der in gedachten 33. §. gegebenen Regel einsetzt, weil man sonst nicht mit den Fingern auskäme.	When playing the E-minor scale through an entire octave, be careful not to put the thumb on G following the rule in §33, because otherwise you would run out of fingers.
Diese sonst so gewisse Regel leidet, wie wir in der Folge sehen werden, nur ein Paar Ausnahmen, welche gegen den Nutzen, den diese Regel übrigens in der gantzen Lehre der Applicatur schafft, nichts bedeuten wollen.	As we will see below, this usually firm rule has just a few exceptions that are not significant compared to the benefit that this rule otherwise provides within the entire system of fingering.
